The Heart of Data Mesh & Fabric – Time to Rethink Your Data Strategy
Data products, platforms and organization – that was the focus of this year’s The Heart of Data Mesh & Fabric event at BARC. Experts from all industries met up on October 1st and 2nd 2024 in Würzburg to discuss the topics of data mesh and data fabric. The aim of the event was to show participants a way out of the data chaos; how to use innovative approaches to optimize data strategy and make data-based decisions easier. Visitors were able to look forward to exciting workshops, talks and keynotes. MID participated this year with a stand and a customer presentation by ÖBB.
Data Products as Key Elements of Federal Data Management
Andreas Ditze, Managing Director of MID, Florian Mugler and Rainer Lay were delighted to welcome people from all industries to MID’s stand and discuss challenges and solutions centered around data and data modeling with Innovator.
Visitors were also able to listen to a presentation on October 1 held by our client Alexander Schiebl from the Austrian Federal Railway entitled “Data Products as Key Elements of Federal Data Management”. The talk discussed how data strategies were implemented at OEBB, concerning the following question: What are data products and why are they essential when implementing future data use cases? Alexander Schiebl explained what to look out for before starting designing a data product, and how to identify, define, professionally design and prepare them.
